Washington, DC – The East and the West Coasts of the United States will converge at the White House on Thursday (May 10) as Trump administration officials and Silicon Valley executives meet to address burning issues about artificial intelligence (AI).

Organized by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, the AI summit will bring together various experts from the academic world, top industry officials and representatives from different government departments. The all-day event will be hosted by Michael Kratsios, President Donald Trump’s Deputy Assistant for Technology Policy.

Discussion topics will include AI research and development (R&D), workforce development, regulatory barriers to AI innovation, and sector-specific applications of AI. According to reliable sources familiar with the planning, representatives from Microsoft, Google, Intel, Amazon, MasterCard and Facebook will be in attendance, among others.
