Washington – US is on a fast track to enhance the bilateral relationship with India, as another top official of the Obama Administration will head to Delhi later this month to participate in the third annual meeting of the US-India Economic and Financial Partnership.
The US Department of the Treasury on Monday announced that Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner will visit India on June 27-28.
Elaborating on his agenda, the department said on Wednesday, June 27, the Secretary will be in Delhi to participate in the third annual meeting of the US-India Economic and Financial Partnership with Indian Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
On Thursday, June 28, Secretary Geithner will visit Mumbai, the country’s financial center, to meet with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Duvvuri Subbarao and Indian business leaders from a variety of industries.
The US-India Economic and Financial Partnership serves as a platform for greater cooperation on economic issues of importance to both nations. (IATNS)
