Washington, DC- Trump Victory, an arm of the Trump re-election campaign, hosted its first Indian American MAGA (Make America Great Again) Meet Up Series in Hindi, Gujarati and Telugu to help community members understand the benefits of President Donald Trump’s “promises kept” policy agenda and the need for four more years.
The meet ups also emphasized the importance of voter registration, according to the organizers.
“The MAGA Meet Up Series in multiple Indian languages such as Gujarati, Telugu and Hindi were a major success. The ones in Tamil, Kannadiga, Malayalam, Marathi, and Punjabi are scheduled to go next. It’s August now and the movement is only expected to grow . . .” stated Khush Rawlley, President of Indian Republican Women and Co-Founder of US IMPACT.
On the upcoming Punjabi meetup in the ongoing series, Jasdip Singh Jesse, founder of Sikhs for Trump – an active component of 2016 Trump campaign – told IAT: “We at Sikhs for Trump are going all out to showcase the achievements of President Trump and his soft-corner for Indians especially Sikhs.”
With most Indian Americans speaking their native languages other than English also at home, Trump Victory expresses its commitment to engage them through MAGA Meet Ups and Trump Victory Leadership Initiative (TVLI) training.
“Trump Victory is leading the way in Asian Pacific American outreach by taking time and energy to learn about individual cultures. It’s both inspiring and encouraging to know that President Trump and Republicans care about our communities, not just our votes,” Kara Caldwell, RNC Deputy Director of Media Affairs, APA told IAT.
Badri Singh, Co-Founder and Board Member of US IMPACT stated, “Having four more years of President Trump is going to be a golden period for Indian Americans. As a straight talker, President Trump stood out as a person who can deliver a great economically thriving America. President Trump walked the talk, he showed that he is a friend India and Indian Americans can count on. We have volunteers in the thousands joining us to be part of Trump’s re-election campaign.”
