Rampur Maniharan, India – More than 100 girls were benefactors of free cycles distributed by a New Delhi based non-profit organization, which continued its sustained effort for the 3rd year at an educational complex.

At the Ramrati Education Complex (REC), comprising of Bill Clinton School (BCS), Hillary Clinton Nursing School (HCNS) and Ramrati Institute of Technology in a sprawling campus with state of the art facilities, the Vinod Gupta Charitable Foundation (VGCF), distributed free cycles to all girl students (above twelve years). This year 122 cycles were dispensed in a simple but impressive function graced by Deepak Meena, Chief Development Officer, Saharanpur as Chief Guest and R K Gupta, Sub Divisional Manager, Rampur Maniharan as the Guest of Honor at the campus.

“I am very much impressed by this gracious effort of the foundation. This kind of support will definitely encourage village students to continue their study. All parents should take advantage of this facility and send their children to school,” said Meena in his address to students on this occasion.

Rajkamal Saxena, President, REC read out the message sent by AD Sharma, Chairman, VGCF. Congratulating the girls, Sharma noted, “I hope these bicycles will encourage them in a great way to continue their study and therefore their future will be secured.”

For the past three years, the foundation has been distributing bicycles to girl students of the HCS and BCS to create a sense of self confidence as well as economic freedom, in addition to encouraging village girls to come to school for their education. It has been a great help to beneficiaries to reach school from far-off areas. This year 83 and 39 cycles were handed over among new first year students of HCNS and BCS respectively. The foundation is named after its founder Vinod Gupta, an NRI and a well established entrepreneur in United States of America.

REC is run by the foundation with a noble objective of imparting quality education to the next generation, especially girl children in backward and rural areas. In a short span of time, it has attained remarkable name and fame across the country.
