South Carolina attracts new Indian BPO delivery outlet to service US Clients

Charleston – A leading Indian provider of global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services recently announced the opening of its new delivery center, located in Columbia, South Carolina, the company’s first in North America.

Welcoming the decision by WNS (Holdings) Limited to bring the 300 seat center to the state, Nikki Haley, the Indian American governor of South Carolina said, “WNS’s decision to launch its first US delivery center in our state signifies a big win for the State of South Carolina.”

Governor Haley, who was born in a Sikh immigrant family said, “We are thrilled that WNS has selected our state for their first US-based delivery facility, and celebrate the investments and the new jobs WNS will create through this center.”

“By providing a business-friendly environment and keeping the costs of doing business low, our state has great opportunities to attract major job-creating investments like this one,” added Haley about opportunities in her state.

The new delivery center, located at 1401 Shop Road, Columbia, South Carolina, with 23,000 square feet of office space, is expected to begin operations in July, 2012, according to the company announcement.

“The opening of our first delivery center in North America is a significant milestone for WNS,” said Keshav Murugesh, Group CEO, WNS.

Commenting on the new opening, Murugesh said the center would “allow WNS to further enhance our customized approach to solutions which provide our clients with the optimal mix of services, talent, location and technology.”

The new facility is expected to provide WNS’s US-based clients with high-value, onshore services and solutions including finance and accounting, research and analytics and industry-specific offerings. (IATNS)
