Baltimore, Maryland – Aisha Khan, a grassroots campaigner for the Democrat Party, predicted a landslide victory for the Biden-Harris ticket from Maryland.
Khan -Member, Democratic State Central Committee, Baltimore County – has been working tirelessly to spread the word for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris even though COVID-19 pandemic has made this a herculean task.
Her prediction was matched by the latest Gonzales Poll which showed Democratic presidential nominee Biden enjoyed a 25-point lead in Maryland one week before Election Day.
The Biden-Harris ticket is polling 58% of likely Maryland voters statewide, while only 33% are voting for the Republican ticket of incumbent President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, with 3% casting their vote for a third party candidate and 6% still undecided.
One of the major concerns for Maryland voters is about COVID-19 as most remain concerned about becoming ill from the coronavirus. Statewide, 64% of respondents said they are worried about becoming seriously ill from the coronavirus, while 36% are not worried.
In the light of such fears from the population, Khan is working along with her team to arrange events where masks are mandatory and social distancing is the norm. Recently Khan arranged a car rally to mobilize voting as early voting has started in the state. There were more than 50 cars participating and there were complete precautions against coronavirus taken by the organizers.
Khan, a mother of three, balances her time among her home and various outdoor activities like running her business, empowering women and mentoring girls, while keeping the Democrat party activities going full steam.
